FREQUENTLY ASKED DELAWARE GROOMING QUESTIONS
Is a reservation required?
Reservations are required for grooming or boarding but walk in customers are welcome for nail trimming or retail purchases.
Are there any potential surcharges added?
Additional charges may be encountered for pets that are matted and require additional time for the groomer.
Will you come to my home to groom my pets?
We do not do in home pet grooming but pick-up and drop-off services are available for an additional fee based upon mileage.
When should my puppy have its first professional grooming?
4-6 weeks for a puppy groom [feet, face and tail], this helps them become accustomed to the grooming process and reduces anxiety when they are older.
Why does my dog itch after grooming?
May be allergies to shampoo or dry skin and may need hypo-allergenic shampoo.
Will I get a discount if I have two or more dogs?
Since we strive to maintain low grooming prices, we do not offer discounts for two or more dogs. We do offer $5.00 off each groom for first time customers.
Is it too cold to have my dog groomed?
No
Do you tranquilize pets before you bathe or groom them?
No, we attempt to work with all pets, including aggressive ones. Some pets are not able to be groomed and in that case, the groomers will discuss the issues with the owners and advise them to speak with his/her vet. The vet and the owner can then make a decision to use a mild sedative if necessary. Medications may help prevent injuries to the pet and groomers and reduce the pets stress level.
How do you dry my pet?
We use a pet friendly air dryer and then use fans.
What type and size of animals will you groom?
All Aboard grooms all types, breeds and sizes of dogs and cats. We currently have 2 wash stations: 1 for smaller animals and 1 for larger animals.
